What does “first partner” mean in pokémon?

"First Partner" is the starter Pokémon a player chooses at the very start of their journey — one Grass, Fire, and Water-type per region. The First Partner Illustration Collections contain all 27 starters divided into Series 1, Series 2, and Series 3.

What is a Pokémon first partner pack?

A Pokémon First Partner pack is a booster pack with 3 of 9 Illustration Rare-style promo cards per series, plus two standard boosters and a sticker sheet. They’re also known as the Pokémon First Partner Illustration Collection.

How many first partner Pokémon are there?
