Pokémon fans no longer have to travel to Asia to experience their favourite characters in the flesh.
A new official Pokémon store is opening in London by 2029, making the UK home to the first official store first one outside of Asia.
The official UK store announcement went out on 21 October 2026, and it’s short on detail. Here’s everything official so far:
It’s permanent. This is a proper shop, not a four-day pop-up tied to an event.
Opening by 2029. No month or season yet.
London first, more to follow. The Pokémon Center (TPC) says London is the first of several permanent stores planned outside Asia.
Exclusive merch and experiences. Same promise as the Pokémon Centers in Japan, though no product details yet.
Gaku Susai, TPCi s Chief Product and Experience Officer, said the company hopes the store becomes “a place where everyone can come together, feel like part of a community and enjoy the magic of Pokémon in a whole new way.”
London Pokémon store: What we don’t know yet
There’s no address of Pokémon’s UK store yet. No size, no opening hours, no product list. Central London seems the obvious bet, but nothing’s confirmed, so treat any specific location you see online as a guess until TPC says otherwise.
We also don’t know if the store will stock the Pokémon TCG in any meaningful way, from sealed product and store-exclusive promos to events. The Japanese Pokémon Centers are TCG hubs, so collectors will be hoping for the same here.
What Pokémon’s new UK store means for collectors
Right now, getting Pokémon Center exclusives means buying from the online shop, paying import costs on Japanese stock, or getting lucky at an event. A permanent London store gives UK collectors a home base.
A few things we’ll be watching:
Store-exclusive TCG product. If London gets its own exclusive promos or sealed items, expect them to hold value well on the secondary market.
Purchase limits. Past UK pop-ups capped how much each person could buy. A permanent store will probably do something similar on hot releases.
Events. “One-of-a-kind experiences” is vague, but league nights or prerelease events would be a massive win for UK players.
The product lineup hasn't been revealed yet. Recent Mega Evolution sets have arrived in booster packs, ETBs and a range of collections, so we'd expect something similar. We'll add every product, with UK pricing, once Pokémon confirms them.
Will you be visiting the UK Pokémon store?
For anyone outside London: 2029 is a long way off, and a single store doesn’t solve access for the rest of the country. Your local game store is still your best friend for sealed product.
We’ll update this page as soon as TPCi shares the location, opening date and product details :)
I’m talking a lot more about it on Instagram and TikTok — share your thoughts with me there!
